👩‍🎨 Builder Spotlight

James Leigh is a self-taught metaverse architect with a background as a photographer and graphic designer. He has worked for artists such as Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg and UK artists Big Narstie and Klashnekoff to name a few.

His first foray into building for the metaverse was after seeing an Instagram advert from Monaverse's build bounty competition for Filecoin.

James quickly picked up Unity during the build process, entered, and ended up taking out the nature category.

His work is inspired by Buddhism and his frequent meditation practice.

The ideas come strongly between these sections, and are also nurtured the most in silence.

🎨 Artists's Wise Words:

Be you! Build what ever creation you dream of, as builder of works of art we are not limited to one style as is expected from most artists, build what you feel people will fall in love with but most importantly what you will fall in love with. Don't forget sound, it is one of the most important part of an immersive experience, what does the build sound like to you, is there a opening to the outside? Is outside windy? If so the wind will pass through. You need to create a perception of reality, make them want to put on the headphones and escape the sounds IRL around them that are distracting, good sound design is when the user doesn't even register it at first.
