Through the VNYE app and website, people from across the globe can explore the virtual world of Times Square, play games, and livestream New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square and around the world.

"With a background in painting, architecture, music, virtual reality and games, building virtual spaces became the artform where it all came together for me. When I discovered the VR creation tools like Gravity Sketch, design became fully immersive for me. I let go of what I thought an appropriate architectural esthetic should be, and the spatial experience became the biggest driver behind my designs.

One of the things I did was let go of straight lines and perfect angles, and the imperfections that come with hand drawn 3D geometry became part of my visual style. To me they invoke a sense of human made, handcrafted design, something I try to enhance further my use of colors and materials, and the music I compose for my worlds." - @DurkatWork
