Parcel showed up in force to CoinMarketCap's 'The Capital' Conference, sharing some of our insight with other thought leaders from a variety of industries.

First up, CEO Noah Gaynor spoke about how the entertainment industry is poised for disruption during Entertainment Enters the Metaverse.

Afterwards, business development associate Mel Goldsmith led attendees in an insightful session with popular metaverse architect @HardArchitects, who provided a deep dive into how to build a virtual space.

👩‍🎨 Builder Spotlight

OgiWorlds is a VR artist, animator, and metaverse architect, currently building predominantly in Monaverse. He's been creating immersive environments and worlds from the beginning of his life in the virtual.

Did you know?

Ogi has officially clocked in five figures working in the virtual world!

Just before I entered the NFT world, I was working on a pilot for an immersive VR sci-fi series - so thinking about how we interact and storytell within a fully virtual space have been long-time considerations.

Vector Horizon (2021)

Ogi builds worlds as if they are designed by AI. They are post-human and algorithm-based, but everything is handcrafted.

Metal reflective surfaces, with anima mundi function first, are heavy features. Mercurial metals with spaces inspired in part through aperion of hypercosmos. Bright colors and bespoke nebula HDRs light the space in order to increase verisimilitude and immersion. The world must make sense within the world, but also communicate a further symbolic message, with a hint of levity through semiotic design play on some archetypes and tropes from popular sci-fi of future-past.

My work reflects our relationship with technology, as when I create I'm in virtual and effectively join with the machine. As such, I explore the elements of mythology through human history. Elements, semiotics, and symbols of deific populate the worlds in a dreamlike version of a sci-fi reflection of my inner umwelt, shaped by my experiences - from historical conflict to pop cultural phenomena, wrapped within the animated visions. I glimpse this world in a vision and work into expanding upon it like a discovery writer would characters in a book, until it starts to take its own voice and verisimilitude.

"If you build it they will come. We, meta-architects, world creators, and builders have unprecedented creative freedom to experiment beyond the constraints of our physical world. We can go as far as our imagination (and tech at this time) stretches. With that, be bold and brave in your experiments, but focus on one step at a time. There is so much to learn, so look at world-building as a long-term project which will allow you to be a pioneer in this space."
