🧑‍🎨 Builder Spotlight

Carolina is a Chilean architecture graduate, currently completing an MFA in Fine Arts at the Parsons School of Design in NYC. She discovered her passion for 3D modeling after several years of research and studio experience in Chile. Carolina's curiosity in the metaverse and NFTs in general was piqued by the prevalence of 3D art.

3D art for her has always been a practical tool, used by constructors to under the plans better, or make renders to show to clients.

Modeling in the metaverse is a self-imposed skill that can feel familiar, like learning the programs and platforms, but can also take time to adjust to. While you can “speak the language”, every world comes with its unique set of rules.

Carolina's work has mostly been in Decentraland, modeling accessories such as a Dickie's style onesie and some of her favorite plants.

Artist's Wise Words:

"In my art practice, I don’t consider the works I made as finished, ever, and not because I could always keep on working in them, but because of the material condition, that will inevitably mutate infinitely- and I guess the metaverse allows this too, even thought as a timeless collaboration - I try not to stop myself when I have an idea or feeling about doing something, and usually the thinking part comes after; dynamic that makes me conceive my works as sketches, or research, and that I might re-visit them in the future."
