2022 trademarks the spot. Markets crashed; trademarks crushed it. Over 20% of the 3,600 trademarks filed related to crypto this year were metaverse related.

Home to the world's best skincare, kimchi, and the modern-day princes of pop, South Korea is now preparing the Metaverse Industry Promotion Act in support of its burgeoning Web3 industry. Plus, Seoul recently unveiled a beta version of its "virtual municipal world," dubbed Metaverse Seoul, which is slated to launch by 2026.

▪️Published its "Metaverse Ethical Principles," a set of core ethical principles that are fundamental for growing and participating in the metaverse

▪️What does the bill bring to the table?

— Incentives for companies to switch operations to the metaverse.

— Government budget for projects to reach around $140 million in 2023.

🐅 Puma on the pounce. Following in Nike and adidas' steps, Puma has entered the digital race. Black Station, which was developed 20 years ago to serve as the brand's home for innovative fashion designs, is being revived as a "new portal for digital exploration."

In the name of blockchain, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is now starting to play in The Sandbox. You'll see names like Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, and Coach at their fundraising event, "Lighting the Path of American Fashion.”

A: It is a place where work, meetings, & collaboration find the right place. Considering the free flow of creativity allowed by the “parameters of the metaverse," the architecture of the building represents the balance between human spatial experience & the extended limits in the metaverse. Simple, functional and fun, this building comes as out as one step further toward what we define as Crypto-Brutalism.

Q: What's an aspect of your build that might go unnoticed by the untrained eye?

A: The gameplay between the different levels and the openings in the slabs that provide different experiences between the floors.

Q: Favourite part of the Buildathon?

A: All the processes around the brainstorming stage to get a solid concept and materialisation of the idea.
