πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ¨ Builder Spotlight

"I'm a lifelong artist, art lover and creator who has been drawing ever since I was able to pick up a crayon or pencil. My dad was also an artist with a career as an architect, he ran his own architectural business and I worked for him a few summers. Wanting to explore the fairly new world of digital art at the time, with PC pricing being really high and out of reach for me, I decided to build my own by ordering parts off of a TigerDirect catalog (I was around 11 yrs old). Growing up in the 80's and 90's, the landscape for artists was not as it is today and unable to find steady work in Graphic Design, I went into the rapidly expanding IT industry and left my dream behind of a career in doing what I loved most.

Shortly after the pandemic started, I discovered Magicavoxel and fell in love with voxel art. I became inspired by voxel-arts greatest talents such as Mari (@MadMaraca) whose grand voxel pieces showed me what could be accomplished using the wonderful software. I began hearing about NFTs (before the historic Beeple sale) and curious about the new emerging technology enabling artists to make a living off of their art, I dove right in hoping to steer my life path back towards my original dream. I hope my art stirs some sort of emotion or spark in you, whether it be fleeting or lasting." - Michael Busto (@michael_busto)

I create art for it's own sake.

Voxelizing my dreams.
